My Story
My journey began in a challenging and unexpected way. At 32, I started experiencing severe hormonal disruptions that led to long and heavy periods. Despite numerous consultations, the only solutions offered were birth control or IVF, neither of which my husband and I were comfortable with. Our search for answers continued until we discovered that heavy metals in my blood were causing my hormonal imbalances.
The Struggle and Discovery
Living through a civil war and exposure to various chemicals, including toxins from metals in landfills and PFAS found in many foods and products, played a significant role in my health issues. Unfortunately, PFAS are still prevalent in many products worldwide, not just in Lebanon. This health journey led me to a deeper understanding of why so many women today face similar issues and undergo treatments like IVF. These hormonal imbalances also caused me severe migraines, leading to countless prescriptions with no effective solution, until I turned to integrative medicine. The root cause boiled down to the quality of food, even those labeled as 'natural.'
Shifting Gaia and IDUN Minerals
In my quest for effective skincare solutions, I discovered IDUN Minerals, a brand that aligns with my mission to promote clean and conscious beauty. Shifting Gaia was created as a platform to feature more conscious brands and provide valuable information on balancing mind, body, and soul.
